Scenario
You receive a warning message when starting the IFP Configuration Settings application (ifpconfig.exe) containing the text "There was a problem reading the information in the IFP configuration file. The connection settings have been reset to the defaults".
Cause
This indicates that the IFP Configuration Settings file (ifp.exe.config) is missing or cannot be read. This must be located in the same folder as ifpconfig.exe. If it is missing, a new file will be created using the default settings.
Solution
If you are trying to edit your existing IFP Configuration Settings, make sure ifp.exe.config is in the same folder as ifpconfig.exe (%Program Files%\AJB Systems\IFP).
Otherwise, just use the IFP Configuration Settings application to enter your IFP settings and click OK to create the new file. Administrator permissions are required to do this (read/write access to the Program Files folder).
