Introducing IFP Enterprise Edition

Starting with version 3.1, IFP is available in two editions, Standard and Enterprise. Standard Edition has all of the features seen in IFP 3.0.7 and earlier. The new Enterprise Edition is suited to larger organisations with multiple databases and countries in the same installation.

What Extra Features are there in IFP Enterprise Edition?

Organisational Units (OUs)

These are groups of users all of whom share the same permissions / responsibilities. OUs are arranged in a hierarchy. Top level might be “Regional Administrators”, followed by “Singapore Administrators” then “Singapore Users” beneath that. Each OU has a set of permissions defined by a Group Policy and each OU can be granted access to only certain databases.

Group Policies

These are sets of rules that are used by all members of an OU. Each rule may be Enabled, Disabled or Not Set. Example rules are “Allow Create Databases” and “Allow Manage Users”.
