Data Grids in Statistical Forecasting

The data grid created for selected items will contain the following:

• Units, ASP and value for each of the selected files for all months
• Where data to be entered has been set to units the ASP and value rows will be hidden by default
• These rows may be unhidden by using View > Show all Rows
• Locked files will appear in blue text
• Partially locked files will have the locked portion displayed with a cyan background

Selection of Data

• IFP automatically selects the default range of cells to be used for each item using all selected files
• Normally, you should not change the selected cells

Editing of Data

• You may directly edit units in any unlocked cell by using the Edit Data option
• However, you are advised to carry out such editing via the Standard Actual/Forecast Editor before using Statistical Forecasting

Updating of Forecasts

• When you accept the results created for each item, the forecast units for all years are automatically updated
• At the same time forecast units are multiplied by the forecast ASP to produce updated values
