Editing Monthly Values
As each monthly value is edited the related quarterly, annual and sub-totals are automatically updated.
To enter the same value in multiple cells in a single operation simply select the target cells, type the required value and press Enter.
Editing Quarterly Totals
Original values
Amended values
Here the Q4 total has been changed from 1,700 to 3,400. This results in the value for each month belonging to Q4 being adjusted on a pro-rata basis, i,e. in this case being doubled.
In cases where all original values for the quarter were zero, the new quarterly total would be divided equally across all months belonging to that quarter.
Editing Annual Totals
Original values
Amended values
Here the annual total has been changed from 15,500 to 31,000. This results in the value for each month being adjusted on a pro-rata basis, i,e. in this case being doubled.
In cases where all original monthly values for the year were zero, the new annual total would be divided equally across all months.
Editing Monthly Sub-Totals
Original values
Amended values
Here the October sub-total has been changed from 6,000 to 12,000. This results in the value for each cell belonging to the October total being adjusted on a pro-rata basis, i,e. in this case being doubled.
In cases where all original values for the sub-total were zero, the new sub-total would be divided equally across all cells belonging to that sub-total.
Editing Annual Sub-Totals
Original values
Amended values
Here the annual sub-total has been changed from 102,900 to 205,800. This results in the value for each cell belonging to the annual total being adjusted on a pro-rata basis, i,e. in this case being doubled. This retains both the monthly phasing and percentage contribution of each row to each monthly total.
In cases where all original monthly values for the annual sub-total were zero, the new annual sub-total would be divided equally across all cells belonging to that sub-total.
