How to Delete Item Codes from a Database

Scenario

"How do I delete an item code which has been created incorrectly?"

Solution

To do this you simply have to set the Status of the item code(s) to Deleted via Item Codes Maintenance.

1. From IFP Home select Codes Maintenance > Item Codes > Item Codes Maintenance.
2. Select the required items OR Load an Item Favourite.
3. Press Finish.
4. Find the required item code and in the status column change from Active to Deleted.
   
5. Save changes.

Note: Deleted item codes remain in the database, but do not appear in reports and/or forecast editors until Rebuild Item Codes has been run.

WARNING: Once Rebuild Item Codes has been run, all item codes with Deleted Status will be permanently removed from the database. Be careful which item codes you mark as deleted!
