Overview
This topic shows the recommended process for editing of working forecasts for marketing users.
Basic Process for Editing Unit Forecasts
- From IFP Home select Forecasting > Standard Actual/Forecast Editor.
- Select Use Data Favourite.
- To edit forecast Units select the data favourite General\CY - CY+2 Units and click Next. This will automatically select the working demand forecast files for CY to CY+2.
- Click on Load Item Favourite. Select the item favourite Forecast Editors/In-Line & New Sales by Item. The default item selections below will then be shown.

Your User Profile will restrict your access to products in the sales database. Hence, there is normally no need to select your products here. However, you may restrict these default item selections by selecting specific products if you wish.
- Click Next then Finish. The editing grid should now appear.
- Edit units as required and click on the Save button when you are finished (you may save at any time and continue editing). See the following topics for more details on how to do this:
Process for Editing Value Forecasts
If you prefer to edit unit forecasts by entering required values, then you can follow exactly the same process used above but here you should select the favourite General\CY - CY+2 Values.
Note: This editing option requires the ASP to be non-zero for each month for each item.

Editing Forecast ASPs
Editing of forecast ASPs in working forecast files should be completed as follows:
- From IFP Home select Forecasting > Standard Actual/Forecast Editor.
- Select the data favourite General\CY - CY+2 ASP and click Next. This will automatically select the working demand forecast files for CY to CY+2.
- Click on Load Item Favourite. Select the item favourite Forecast Editors/In-Line & New Sales by Item (no sub-totals). You may restrict the default item selections by selecting specific products if you wish.
- The editing grid in this case would appear as below:
