IFP uses a high-performance file-based data store for the majority of its data. The following table shows the file types available and their usage.
File Type | Purpose |
---|---|
Summary | Stores monthly actuals, forecast and Cost of Sales data |
Daily | Stores daily actuals and forecast data |
External Variables | Stores External Variable values data used in forecasting |
Requirements for Daily Files
When creating Daily Files, you must ensure the data file suffix starts with the 2 character month number. This can be followed by characters which identify what this data file is used for, e.g. for Net Sales in April, you might use the suffix 04NET.
For more information on Data Files, see all relevant articles in our Database and Data File Management section.
