Overview
You can explode the details contributing to each individual line in a report definition, i.e. you can see certain lines in more specific detail. To do this:
- Select a line in the Report Definition Editor.
- Click Properties
- Select the Explode Options tab
- Check Explode details for this line
- Select at which level you would like to explode details
You may use a different explode variable for each line in a report definition if required.
Notes
- The Explode Options tab is only available when using the Classification Variable line type.
- You may also use the Explode Details option on the Reporting Options page of the Reports Wizard in order to obtain a second level of exploded details for all lines in your report definition.
Example - Exploding a Line by Product
In this example, the resulting report will show details at a Product Level for the selected line, as well as the selected classification variable in the Report Definition.
