Values included are determined by one or more combinations of values for one or more classification variables, using wild cards (?) where appropriate.
Where multiple classification variables are used for a report definition, the values for those variables must be concatenated in the same order as they appear in the list of Classification Variables.
Lines are created / edited using the Combination-Based Line Editor.
Single Classification Variable
You can either select codes from a list or enter them manually, optionally using wildcards (?).
The Report Definition below uses the Product Group Classification Variable in the definition of some lines. The code for each combination specifies individual Product Groups that should be included for this line.
This produces a single line on a report as follows:
Classification Variables can be used together to create a complex report, using different variables on the same line.
To create this line we need to specify values for both variables within the same selection. You must enter them manually, optionally using wildcards (?).
The Report Definition below uses both of the Classification Variables Product Group and Channel to define some lines. The code for each combination specifies that any item code which matches both the Product Group and Channel values should be included in the report line. If an item code meets only one of the criteria then it will not be included within the line.
