Overview
Values included are determined by one or more combinations for one or more classification variables, using wildcards (?) where appropriate.
Lines are created / edited using the Combination-Based Line Editor.
Single Classification Variable
You can either select codes from a list or enter them manually, using wildcards (?) if required.
Example
The Report Definition below uses the Product Classification Variable in the definition for some lines. The code for each combination specifies individual Products that should be included for this line.
This produces a single line on a report as follows:
Multiple Classification Variables
Classification Variables can be used together to create a complex report, using different variables on the same line.
To create this line values for both variables need to be specified within the same selection. This is added manually, using wildcards (?) if required.
Example
The Report Definition below uses both the Classification Variables Product and Customer Group to define some lines. The code for each combination specifies that any item code which matches both the Product and Customer Group values should be included in the report line. If an item code meets only one of the criteria then it should be ignored.
