This feature is available in IFP 3.4.5 or earlier. More recent versions of IFP have automatic backups of data files created before major data changes.
Overview
Database backups are essential for ensuring that you can quickly recover any data lost through unintentional deletion, overwriting of data files or major editing errors.
Creating the backup
Creating a backup in IFP is easy.
- From IFP Home select Databases/Files > Create Database Backup
- Enter notes (e.g. the reason for creating the backup) and click Create Backup.
You may also save this process as an AutoTask to create general backups from AutoTask Manager.
Viewing previous backups
You can view and restore previous backups by, from IFP Home selecting Databases/Files > Database Manager > Backups.
Here you can also create a backup by clicking Create Backup on the toolbar and view Properties of previous backups after selecting a backup from the list.
