Overview
Running Crosstabulation Reports allows you to build and view complex analyses of the different dimensions of your data. Using Report and Crosstabulation Definitions you can generate the specific data you require in the final report.
Running the Crosstab Report
- From IFP Home select Reporting > Crosstabulation Analysis.
- Choose the data selection method. Custom File Selection giving you the most adaptable choices.
- Select the Year and Specific data required in the report, up to a maximum of 20 files, as well as the desired Period and Variance options.
- (Optional) Select a report definition.
- Change the Item Selection required or leave as all.
- Choose the Reporting Options required for the final report output.
- Select a Crosstabulation Definition to define against the Report Definition and/or Item Selection you have made.
- The report will now be ready to publish.
Note - If you need to change your Crosstabulation Definition, there is no need to go back to the Crosstabulation Definition Manager. Just select the definition you desire to change in Crosstabulation Definition Selection and press Edit Item.
Example
You want to generate a report that shows each of the Product Groups by Therapy Group for the Channel they are part of, looking at last year's actual figures and this year's planned figures, also showing the Variance between them.
- Select the Files to use, the whole year as the Period and Totals & Variances vs. File 1 to create the Variance between the two files.
- Select a report definition to specify the particular level at which you would like to generate the report, in this case Analysis by Therapy Group.
- Keep the Item Selection as All.
- Choose the Reporting Options required for the final report output, here the details have been exploded by Product Group and the currency is Pound Sterling.
- Select the Crosstabulation Definition Analysis by Channel to define against the Report Definition and Item Selections made.
- The report will now be ready to publish.
