This article is about the Reporting Options: Levels tab in the Reports Wizard. For more information on the other tabs in Reporting Options, see Currencies Tab, Inclusions Tab, and Units Tab.
Level of Detail
The level of detail determines which sub-totals are to be presented for each selected item code.
Example
In the example above, data will be presented at each of the levels item code, product group, therapy group, division and grand total.
You may eliminate unwanted levels by directly selecting the individual levels of sub-totals to be included.
Example
In the example above, selecting levels product group, division and grand total would only show data at the levels product group, division and grand total.
Master Level
Normally, you will want to generate a single report at the selected level of detail. However, you will occasionally want to create a set of individual reports which correspond to values of any selected variable.
Example
In the example above a separate report will be created for each country with each report being at item code level for that country.
Consolidation Length
Where the selected level of detail is the base level (e.g. item code in Sales Planning and Analysis databases), you may request consolidation of values for item codes that are identical in the first n positions.
Example
With a Consolidation Length of 6 values for all item codes identical in the first 6 positions will be consolidated in the resulting analysis.
Explode Details
For analyses based upon a report definition file, an Explode details option is available to show the details that were included in the calculated value for each line. This is particularly useful for lines based upon values of classification variables such as account or HQ group code. When Explode details is selected, you may select the level at which the explosion occurs.
